LEE LINEAR's new automated hardening system utilizes a state-of-the-art electromagnetic based proprietary hardening system, to produce the next generation of Precision Shafting. With the new automated hardening technology, a consistent and precise case is accurately controlled by computer. The result is a thinner case as durable as standard case hardened shafting, with the same hardness and load carrying capacity. The LEE LINEAR Precision Case Hardened Shafting is suited for applications requiring long shaft lengths because of its ability to maintain better straightness with reduced distortion. All LEE LINEAR's shafting is demagnetized, and shafting diameters of one inch or less are rotary straightened to remove any kinks, or bends in the material.

Solid Steel is C1060 carbon steel Precision Linear Shafting and is available in inch and metric sizes. 60 Plus^® offers the highest machineability of your case hardened and ground steel shafting. Also in stock is 52100 tubular in 1½” and 2” diameter. Custom machined shafts are also available. 60 Plus^® shafting has a hardness of Rockwell 60/65C. Parts can be hard chrome plated for enhanced appearance and corrosion resistance. Available in lengths up to 180”.

Available in inch and metric diameters, this material is corrosion resistant with a Rockwell 50/55C Case. Custom machined shafts are also available. Parts can be plated with Armoloy for higher corrosion resistance. Available in solid only, and in lengths to 154”.

Available in ½” to 3” diameter (except stainless diameters). These shafts are stocked with an industrial standard hole pattern so they can meet most application requirements. For longer lengths shafts may be butt or dowel jointed.
